Technology - How are our homes made?
We build in a modern, sustainable, and precise way — using certified materials and proven timber frame technology that has dominated construction in Scandinavia, Canada, and the USA for decades.
Prefabrication – the highest quality in controlled conditions
Our homes are manufactured in a production hall, where every stage of construction takes place in stable, dry, and safe conditions. This allows us to achieve consistent precision, eliminate weather-related issues, and minimize construction time.
Using prefabricated modules or structural elements, we assemble the home and then transport and install it on your plot — typically within a few hours to a few days.
Prefabrication means:
- 100% quality control
- Lower operating and maintenance costs
- A fast and predictable construction process
- No common errors typical of traditional on-site building methods
Certified structural timber – the heart of our technology
All our structures are based on C24 or KVH structural timber, which meets strict European standards.
The wood we use is:
Certified (CE, FSC, PEFC)
Documentation confirms responsible sourcing and full compliance with European construction regulations.
Kiln-dried (moisture content below 18%)
This is essential for durability — the wood does not warp or crack and is resistant to fungi and mold.
Planed on four sides with chamfered edges
This treatment improves fire resistance and helps prevent the spread of flames along the structure.
Free from structural defects
Each element is carefully selected, graded, and installed with proper attention to grain direction.
As a result, the structure is:
- stable,
- durable,
- resistant to deformation,
- designed for intensive, long-term use.
Installations – modern, safe, economical
As standard or as optional upgrades, we install:
- Underfloor heating – Economical, low-maintenance, and perfectly suited to prefabricated homes.
- Air conditioning with heating function – Fast heating in winter, cooling in summer, and high energy efficiency.
- Heat recovery ventilation (HRV) – Fresh air circulation and lower heating costs.
- Electrical installation compliant with EU standards – Full safety, including RCD protection, distribution boards, and certified components.
- Smart home system (optional) – Control of heating, lighting, blinds, and alarm systems.
Walls – layer by layer
Each home features a multi-layer, energy-efficient wall assembly built in accordance with current European standards.
A typical wall structure includes:
- Interior finish layer – plasterboard (drywall) or Fermacell board: fire-resistant, durable, and easy to finish
- OSB board (OSB 3 or 4) – provides rigidity, structural stability, and reinforcement
- Vapor barrier membrane – protects the interior from moisture
- Insulation layer – mineral wool or wood fiber insulation, Class A: non-combustible material (A1 fire reaction class), offering excellent thermal and acoustic insulation
- Breathable wind barrier membrane
- Façade board system / battens and counter-battens
- Exterior cladding – wood, metal panels, standing seam metal, or composite materials
The mineral wool we use is certified for:
- A1 non-combustibility,
- high-temperature resistance,
- non-toxicity.
It is a safe, environmentally friendly, and durable material with performance characteristics that significantly surpass traditional polystyrene insulation.
Floors and roof – year-round structures
Floor
- Insulation made of mineral or wood fiber wool (150–250 mm)
- OSB board
- Vapor barrier membrane
- Option to install underfloor heating
- Finished flooring surface (e.g., AC5 vinyl panels)
Roof
- Timber structure made of C24 / KVH wood
- Insulation with non-combustible mineral wool
- Highly breathable roofing membranes
- Roofing options: standing seam metal, shingles, or steel panels
Each structural system is designed to meet the performance standards of year-round homes.
Windows and doors – high tightness and energy efficiency
Depending on the project, we use the following window systems:
- Triple-glazed PVC windows
- Aluminum windows
- HS / HST sliding terrace doors
With thermal performance values reaching U = 0.9–1.1 W/m²K, these solutions enable the construction of highly energy-efficient homes.
Facades – durability and aesthetics
We offer a variety of exterior finishing materials:
- Spruce or larch wood cladding
- Standing seam metal cladding
- Composite façade systems
- Vertical or horizontal steel panels
All materials are certified for resistance to weather conditions and moisture, ensuring long-lasting durability and performance.
From design to assembly – a process you can control
Why is prefabricated technology better?
- 3× faster than traditional construction
- 10× more precise (factory-based production)
- No delays or weather-related issues
- Lower heating bills thanks to high-performance insulation
- Cleaner and more environmentally friendly construction process
- Durable and stable structure built to last for years
